  • EEBO, Early English Books Online by Chadwick Healey - covers the period from the invention of printing to the year 1700, texts printed in English or in the English speaking world formerly offered on Microfilm in the Woodbrige research project - not only a superb reservoir of original materials, also a fine bibliographical research tool.
  • ECCO, Eighteenth Century Collections Online by Thomson Gale - "the most ambitious single digitization project ever undertaken. It delivers every significant English-language and foreign-language title printed in Great Britain during the eighteenth century, along with thousands of important works from the Americas," and it allows you to search texts - the most convenient service extant, ask the next scientific library in your reach to provide you with access codes.
