Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Regina, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Presently studying English monetary politics during the 1690s and the period of the South Sea Bubble. A special interest in the day-to-day practices and organizational details of institutions like the Exchequer, the Bank of England and the South Sea Company, since these details are often crucial to understanding aright the real meaning of various legislative proposals or enactments and of the public debates that accompanied them.
