1 Zilveren Rijder (Dukaat), Utrecht 1694

History

Dutch sivler coin, first issued in Holland in 1659 with a weight of 32.78 g (941/1000 fineness), copied in the second half of the 17th century with a slightly reduced silver content by all the Dutch provinces. The coin matched the Ducaton circulating in the Spanish Netherlands, its value stood at 63 stuyvers at the begining of the 18th century.
